Project Building Fund

DunDeal Community Developers Group is looking for a building or space to house all of our classes under one location.

The sons of Norway building in Bremerton, WA is currently coming under new management, and is looking for ways to occupy the space with better suiting the youth of the community. Contributions and donations would be graciously appreciated to help our program obtain a 3 year lease, giving our program a solid foundation upon which to stand and conduct day to day operations in our community.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Drums For Youth (DFY) is to advocate, provide the materials for, and perform the actions necessary to create opportunities for all people in the community to obtain a certain quality of life while giving a voice to the voiceless.

PURPOSE

DFY plans to deliver services that interrupt and stabilize the symptoms of homelessness, substance abuse, and violence. Our attempts will be taken through multiple lenses, which include gardening, art, music and social justice awareness. This in turn teaches life skills that incorporate individual participation in social service projects in their communities, thus creating a positive future for individuals involved in our program.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to create an educational community center including detox programs, shelter beds, and schooling. Our hope is to implement a place of safety (a sacred ground) that cultivates a social consciousness, in hopes of creating a higher quality of life for individuals, families, and neighborhoods; therefore resulting in healthier communities.
